Mark Gaudin friend and NA member Killed by black savages.

Mark Gaudin my comrade and best friend and father to his 5 yr old son Ian was murdered by 3 blacks near his home town of Palestine Texas. Two of the blacks were arrested and confessed and as it looks now he was killed for $6.00 in a robbery as he was working one of his 3 jobs driving a cab for a small town company. I have posted the names and info of these savages below. He was really my best friend and I have had very few of those in my life.

Kenneth Marquett Johnson, 21, Lamond Tyrell Johnson, 24, and Leroy Junior Gaines, 25, all of Palestine — all remain in the Anderson County Jail this morning each in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

I know that any time someone dies all you hear is the good. However Mark was truly a good person who would do anything to help a comrade. When the roof caved in on his T shirt shop he never asked me once for help. I told him I would come spend the weekend building him a new roof. Thats what we did. Even though I didn't ask, later Mark repayed the favor by building my kids a huge wooden swing set for christmas of 2001. I was once contacted by a customer who was needing some red braces since the shop was out and knowing that Mark made them I asked Mark to contact the young man. The customer was getting married and wanted them for him and his best man and the wedding was in 4 days.. Mark rush shipped 2 free pairs of our red braces out to him as a wedding gift. These are just a few examples of how selfless this guy was. Mark to me was as much of a hero as any other. He is as much of a Martyr as any we have had.

He was an honest hard working single dad. Holding down 3 jobs to make ends meet. Yet still many times he put his own money into various NA projects, knowing full well that he needed to spend it on car repairs or clothes. He was truly a selfless person.

While many who claim to be racial and active find it hard to step away from the computer long enough to get in the street and do anything. Mark was at every NA meeting we have had since he joined except one. Even though he had to drive for 3 hours to get to the meeting in a car that was in no shape to be driven that much.

He leaves behind a 4 year old little boy. He was the sole custody parent of Ian who was named after Ian Stuart. Now Ian will have no daddy. Mark moved to Texas from California after his entire family except for his mother had ridiculed him for his beliefs. He moved to what is basically the middle of nowhere. This is a reminder that we can no longer seek higher ground. There are no more white safe zones.

The world and our cause especially is much worse off now that Mark is gone. However I ask that you all remember this young man that you probably never met or heard of. I was lucky enough to know him for a few years. I would like to send a special thank you to Leo for recruiting this fine man. If it were not for you handing him that NA card I would have never known him.

I would ask that you do what you can to help Marks mother. She is going to be caring for Ian now even though she is in failing health herself however it is the best place for him to be..

My friend Mark,
The first time I met Mark he invited me and others to come shoot at his house in the middle of nowhere. He open his house to complete strangers, after meeting him you became confortable in a manner of minutes. He would leave his house unlocked so friends could come at various times of the night. He loved his race, and people defending his race. He was not shy about his beliefs. He had some balls (not like some I know) I will miss him, after I get over being mad. I remenber the time he sold his paintball gun to me (for next to nothing), I remenber the time he purchase an item from me as I was wining I was getting broke! I know that people allways say good thing when people die (or are MURDERED), (may the bastards get what they deserve) but this was truly a good man! If you read this please help his mother (she is in failling health) take care of his young son Ian. It was an honour to know you Mark, sleep well my friend. A.W.

I went Saturday to give the donation money to Kathleen and also for my other reason to see Ian. Ian played with the toys that were given to him and had a fun time, we played Rockem Sockem and he kicked my butt pretty bad. I helped him assemble toys and chased him a bit, Marks brother Justin and his friend James went bug hunting with him as Kathleen my wife and Julie talked for many hours. Kathleen told us about Ian's nightmares and how he wakes up crying. He is a tough little guy but occasionally you can see through that image he puts up and there is a loving little boy. Seeing Justin was a comfort to me, he looks just like Mark. He has the same sense of humor, it reminded me that in many ways Mark will live on.

Marks mother is a proud woman. She doesn't complain about money, but I know what she makes and it will be tough to say the least. A trust fund is now set up for Ian so if you can in the future please continue to send a few dollars from time to time.

UPDATE** 3-20-03

For those of you wondering how Ian is doing. He is adjusting as well as could be expected. He has came to see me my wife and kids a few times and we have went to see him though not as much as I would like. I can only imagine the pain he is hiding. This week we heard that the DA is going for the death penalty. I hope they get it.

Anderson County District Attorney Doug Lowe said today that his office intends to seek the death penalty against three local men charged with capital murder in connection with the killing of a 30-year-old cab driver last December.

Kenneth Marquett Johnson, 21, Lamond Tyrell Johnson Jr., 24, and Leroy Junior Gaines Jr., 25, all of Palestine, remain in the Anderson County Jail on the charge of capital murder.

The trio has been charged in the death of Mark Edwin Gaudin, a 30-year-old part-time cab driver, who was killed Dec. 13, 2002, north of the city limits, after being shot in the head twice with a .38-caliber pistol, authorities have said.

Gaudin had picked the three men up for a cab fare at the Inwood Place Apartments at 1501 S. Loop 256 a short time before being murdered, according to authorities.
Authorities have identified robbery as the apparent motive, but have said the accused murderers got no more than $10 from their victim.

Gaudin’s body was found in a wooded area adjacent to the Blackshear Cemetery off of CR 363 after one of the defendants took authorities to the scene several hours after the man’s murder.

“We’re going to file a motion of intent to seek the death penalty on all three defendants,” Lowe told the Herald-Press this morning.

The district attorney added that that motion would likely be filed this week.
The three capital murder defendants will likely be tried separately, Lowe said, with the first trial possibly starting sometime this fall.

“I just think the brutality speaks for itself,” said Lowe, adding the victim probably never knew what was coming.

“That’s probably the only positive thing about it — he didn’t have time to realize what they were getting ready to do to him,” he continued.

Kenneth Johnson, the alleged shooter, is being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond, while Lamond Johnson Jr. has a $250,000 bond, according to jail records.

Gaines, meanwhile, is being held on no bond, according to records.

The Johnsons are brothers originally from Crockett, according to local law enforcement.

All three defendants have been appointed local attorneys.

Jeff Herrington is representing Kenneth Johnson, while Pam Fletcher and Sam Hicks are representing Lamond Johnson Jr. and Gaines, respectively.

Lowe said Kenneth Johnson likely will be the first of the three defendants tried by the state.

Word has it that the shooter in this case will NOT be facing the death penalty since he is "special" meaning he has an IQ that is below 70 or retarded level. This is basically a free get out of the death penalty charge coupon for blacks, since the majority of them have below a 70 IQ.

Lamont Tyrell Johnson Jr. The brother of the shooter is trying to get an insanity plea entered.

Lamont Tyrell Johnson Jr. The brother of the shooter was found to be not mentally able to stand trial, so poor Lamont will be going to a mental ward for 6 months and the re-evaluated before possibly standing trial.

Testimony in the trial of a 27-year-old Palestine man
accused of capital murder in the December 2002
shooting death of a 30-year-old local cab driver was
set to begin today at the Anderson County Courthouse.

Leroy Gaines Jr., 27, of Palestine is one of three
Palestine men charged with shooting and killing
30-year-old Mark Edwin Gaudin on Dec. 13, 2002.

The state is not seeking the death penalty against
Gaines, according to Anderson County District Attorney
Doug Lowe.

Gaudin's body was found hours after the shooting in a
wooded area adjacent to the Blackshear Cemetery off of
CR 363, north of the Palestine city limits.

The part-time cab driver had been shot twice in the
head with a .38-caliber pistol, according to
authorities.

Kenneth Marquett Johnson, who was sentenced to life in
prison after pleading guilty to murder in November
2003, has admitted to shooting Gaudin.

The third defendant, Lamond Tyrell Johnson, has been
found incompetent to stand trial and is currently
housed at a state mental facility.

On Monday, a 10-man, two-woman-jury was seated Monday
to hear evidence in Gaines' trial.

Gaines is represented by local attorneys Bill House
and Sam Hicks.

87th State District Judge Deborah Oakes Evans, who is
presiding over the trial, instructed jurors to report
back to the courthouse at 9:30 a.m. today.

Opening arguments were expected to be delivered soon
thereafter.
